Fort Collins is a northern Colorado city with a rich history and culture. The Old Town district showcases 1800s architecture, a historic trolley, and various shops and eateries. The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery offers interactive exhibits on science, history, and nature, as well as a digital dome theater.

To the west of the city, Horsetooth Mountain Open Space has trails that lead to Horsetooth Rock formation and Horsetooth Falls, both scenic landmarks.

Loveland is a northern Colorado city that is the second largest city in Larimer County and the 14th largest city in Colorado. It has a population of 76,378 as of 2020. Loveland is located 46 miles (74 km) north of Denver on the Colorado Front Range. It is part of the Fort Collins-Loveland Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. It is located at the northern end of the Front Range, near the Colorado Eastern Plains and Wyoming. According to the 2000 census, there were 251,494 people living in 97,164 households and 63,156 families in the county.

The population density was 97 people per square mile (37/km2) and there were 105,392 housing units at an average density of 40 per square mile (16/km2). The county was mostly White (91.44%), with some Hispanic or Latino (8.27%), Asian (1.56%), Black or African American (0.66%), Native American (0.66%), Pacific Islander (0.08%), and other or mixed races (5.60%). Most households had children under 18 (31.70%) and were married couples (53.60%).

Some households were single individuals (23.40%) or elderly people living alone (6.30%). The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.99.

The population was distributed by age groups: under 18 (23.80%), 18 to 24 (14.20%), 25 to 44 (30.70%), 45 to 64 (21.80%), and over 65 (9.60%).

The median age was 33 years old and there were slightly more males than females. The median income for a household in the county was $48,655 and for a family was $58,866.
